The air is crisp and leaves are floating to the ground in vibrant shades of Fall. This is one of my favorite times of year. It is as though nature is painting a peaceful scene and reminding us, it is time to slow down.
As Summer heat gives way to foggy mornings and dew covered homes, the ovens within turn on and soup pots begin to bubble, bringing delicious smells and reminders of comfort and home. So, what better way to celebrate than with a book tour back home, to Southeast Missouri, for my latest release, Finding Home: Brian’s Journey, the sequel to Calling Me Home.
I must admit that in addition to my excitement to see old friends and meet new ones, I am mischievously planning what I can convince my sisters and cousin to do to my uncle’s yard this year. Last year we managed to fork his yard. Yes, I said fork. Over 500 plastic, white forks were randomly stuck into his front yard. We did attempt to make a large heart on one side of the yard, but he thought it looked like a turkey! How we managed to pull this prank off is beyond me. We giggled and laughed like 12 year-olds. At the expense of his yard (which he made us clean up the next morning) we had a great bonding moment. We laughed still later that day when I asked to borrow my aunts glue gun for a craft project and she conveniently couldn’t find it. We laugh about it still and so does much of the small town of Patterson.
But I digress from the main point of this blog. The book signing events that are planned are listed below.
